Manufacturer of plastic optical fiber devices for light, data, and image transmission. Principal product is for backlighting of membrane switches (Life tested to over 5 million actuations), LCD's and panels. Benefits of low power (from 2.1 VDC, 20 mA), thinness (.013" min.), uniform brightness, remote light source, EMI and heat free, rugged and durable. Low NRE, unit, assembly, and maintenance costs. Also, produce a line of miniature OptiBeam® light sources (LED, vacuum, gas, and halogen); custom cable assemblies, light guides, image guides, sensors, and scanners; PMMA and scintillating fiber, and large core optics in bulk or cut to length. Also provide engineering design services, and assembly of optical products.

PolyStamp®

A proprietary method of extracting light from POF ribbons for backlighting decals, panels, appliqu?s, and decorative items.

UniGlo®

A patented process (U.S. Patent Nos. 5,312,569 and 5,312,570) for surface treatment of large area POF substrates. Used in backlighting LCD'S, membrane switches, panels, bezels, and consumer items.

PolyGlo®

A patented process (U.S. Patent Nos. 5,097,396; 5,226,105; 5,295,216; and 5,307,245) for selectively terminating fibers in a substrate. Used for backlighting panels, membrane switch and elastomeric keypads.
